In the IBOP Tests on Monday the 27th of September several combinations scored over 80 points.

Re-inspection

With Age Okkema holding the reins the 4-year-old Dinneke fan Dulve Star (Tsjalke 397 x Jasper 366) even collected a score of 86.5 points. Dinneke presented a very convincing test earning herself an 8.5 for the canter: ‘She demonstrated lots of power and presence,’ says Head of Jury Hergen van Hall. First-premium mare Dinneke has been entered for the re-inspection of next Wednesday where she is going to make a bid for the Crown predicate. ‘A very nice horse to work with,‘ Okkema comments.

Relaxed test

Ingeborg Klooster presented Brechtje van ’t Klaphek Star (Hessel 480 x Leffert 306) with a very good contact on the bit under saddle. The mare moved with great ease in trot and canter. Brechtje upgraded her IBOP test score of 72 from last July to 85.5 points. ‘In July Brechtje suffered enormously from tension,‘ Ingeborg says. ‘After that I competed her in the Pavo Fryso Cup and she made it to the final. That helped her a lot to get used to strange surroundings and that experience worked in her favour in the IBOP. She was very relaxed.’ Klooster’s test with Willem van het Donckse Hof Star AA (Pier 448 x Norbert 444) made a fine overall picture: ‘Fine posture, good balance and spring in trot.’ With 81.5 points Willem repeated his IBOP performance of last year.

Permanent Crown

The test of Veroniek W.E. Star A (Reinder 452 x Jasper 366) and rider Annette Verbeek was rewarded with 80 points. ‘A test that showed diligence,’ was Van Hall’s comment. ‘The mare should move in a slightly more closed frame but her walk was correct and she cantered with ease.’ Veroniek now carries the Crown predicate behind her name.

Also Crown predicate for Antje

Age Okkema also successfully presented Star mare Antje (Beart 411 x Nanno 372) in front of the carriage: Antje became Permanent Crown. This Beart 411 daughter gave an energetic performance but needs to develop a little more constancy in the contact. The test was rewarded with 79 points. Bernau fan ‘e Herdershoeve Star (Jehannes 484 x Stendert 447) struggled a little with the right-lead canter but displayed suppleness in walk and trot. Martha van der Meulen and Bernau clocked 79.5 points.

Full details of results will soon be posted on the KFPS site.
