The new Head of Training of the Central Examination is Henk Hammers. He takes over from Koos Naber who took his farewell from this function on Thursday the 9th of February after an 8-year-period as Head of Training.
Own training stables & Head of Training KWPN
Henk Hammers is married to Anne-Marie and with son Youp Jan (8) and daughter Noor (almost 3) lives in Zwartsluis. Here he and his wife run their own training stables for showdriving horses, showjumpers, Friesians and driving horses. Henk needs no introduction in the showdriving scene. He stems from a true showdriving family and he is exceptionally successful both as driver as well as trainer of showdriving horses. Additionally, since 2013 Henk has also been Head of Training for the KWPN mare tests (EPTM) and the performance tests for dressage-, showjumping- and Gelder stallions. He will continue to fulfil these functions along with his new role of KFPS Head of Training.
Broad outlook
His yearlong experience means that many horses have gone through Henk’s hands and consequently he has developed a broad outlook on equine sports and breeding. The KFPS therefore believes to have found the right man for the job and is fully confident that Henk will prove to be a very good successor of Koos Naber. Henk has huge expertise, knows the people, has a strong and sound personality as well as great integrity. He will soon start up preparations for the Central Examination in conjunction with the Performance Team. The KFPS sticks to the training schedule as drawn up by Carolien Munsters.
