Breeding Day Champion in Sweden: Rixt fan Nes (Wimer 461)
On Sunday the 29th of August, the 8-year-old Rixt fan Nes Star (Wimer 461 x Fetse 349) became Champion of the Breeding Day in Åstorp, Sweden. Jury members Esther Reen and Manuel Gasseling gave the mare an 8 for conformation. ‘A mare with great breeding type and very well-built.’
A little adventure as an addition to Warmbloods
Rixt was bred by Koen Klaren from Akkrum and is a daughter of Star mare Nanke van Nes (Fetse 349) and a granddaughter of Hiltsje fan Nes Model Preferent Performance (Hearke 254), dam of Dries 421. Her owner Kristina Stomborg bought the mare from a Swedish friend one year ago, as a sort of adventure in addition to her Warmblood horses. She really had no expectations for the inspection, but then Rixt was rewarded with a Star second premium and the Breeding Day Title.
Two Stars
Another mare taking part in the Champion inspection who also had a Star with a second premium was Amanda Westbroek’s 4-year-old Destiny P.W. (Bartele 472 x Doaitsen 420) who demonstrated a strong walk. Her breeder is Pieter Wijbenga.
